Description
Originally published in its first English translation in 1943, The Little Prince has been adored by parents and children for generations. Now, this classic tale is available in this beautifully presented gift edition, with both the original translation and stunning full-colour illustrations.
A sweet and surreal tale exploring what is important in life, The Little Prince explores the odd adventure of a pilot who becomes stranded in the desert. A stranger appears before him, begging him to draw him a sheep. This unusual request prompts the pilot to realise that sometimes there is no choice but to simply go with life’s mysteries and enjoy the moment.
The book was written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery during the Second World war, while in a self-imposed exile from France which was occupied at the time. This edition is the original English translation from French, masterfully done by Katherine Woods who has managed to capture the poetic brilliance of the original.
